11. Flying Fish

As Midge casts his magic spell, all the fish in the river rise from the water like a flock of birds and float away to Midge's pond.

The fish fly away

Midge calls after them: "You can come back when we've found out what is wrong with the river."

"You are clever, Midge," says Curly. "Now that that problem is solved we can think about how to stop the river getting even saltier. We were planning to follow the river to see if we could find out what is happening."

"But Professor Potter's helicopter is broken and my feet are sore," Boysie moans.

"We'd better find another way of travelling, hadn't we?" Midge says. He points upwards. "Will this do?" he asks.

A strange flying craft suddenly drops from the sky and hovers just above the ground.
"Here we are," Midge announces. "Climb aboard and then we can go."
